Happy Valentine's Day!
12 years of Valentine's Days spent together have taught Rob and I not to go out for dinner on this particular evening (long waits, hurried food, sub-par service, you know how it goes). So instead, we decided to stay in and spend the Valentine's Day weekend just hanging out with each other, and cooking at home. And Breakfast Pizza was born.
Yes, my friends. And it's wonderous.
Here's what we used:
1 Pre-cooked Crust
2 slices bacon
1/4 lb breakfast sausage
Oil and seasonings (not shown)
First, prep your ingredients:
-Whip up the eggs with a dash of heavy cream, and scramble them with salt, pepper, and seasonings of your choice -we used some parsley, thyme, and roasted garlic powder (be careful not to overcook the eggs - you'll be putting them in the oven later)
-Fry up the bacon and chop into pieces
-Fry up the sausage
-Chop the mushrooms and onion, and saute in a bit of butter
-Shred your cheese
-Oil your pizza crust lightly
Throw everything on that pizza crust! We started with cheese, followed by eggs, and then toppings.
Bake @ 350 for 7 minutes, then remove and add more cheese, and toss back in the oven for another 3-4 minutes or until cheese is mostly melted
Slice, plate, and eat without abandon.
